From the "18 Methods of Linking Breath"
The general term "kung fu" encompasses both Northern Shao Lin, the rapid, powerful style popularized in the movies, and Tai Chi Chuan, the slower and more gentle style. Our founder, Grandmaster Chian Ho Yin, taught his students both Northern Shao Lin, an "external," or "hard" style, and Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan, a soft, internal style.
